Strike Zone Sports is thrilled to announce that Sam Macken is now the co-owner of our Eagan training facility alongside Sara Moulton.

It’s not every day that you find someone who is just as passionate and dedicated to giving lessons and clinic work as a full-time job and career. Sam continues to study the game and is always thinking of ways to learn, improve, and incorporate new drills to teach her athletes. She genuinely cares about and invests in each of her athletes and spends time getting to know them personally. Sam’s athletes are always going to get 110% from her when they walk in the door. Sam is also a strong positive role model for young women in our softball community as a whole. I can’t wait to see what the future will hold for SZS!” -Sara Moulton
“I am beyond thrilled to start this new chapter in my life with SZS and one of my former college teammates and life-long friends, Sara Moulton. Since the day I graduated from the University of Minnesota, I have wanted to train and teach athletes full-time. So, when Sara asked me to join her as an owner, I couldn’t say no. Sara has done wonders and has created many opportunities for pitchers throughout Minnesota and the Midwest. Now I get to do the same for my hitters, slappers, and fielders. The athletes, families, and other instructors involved in the Strike Zone Sports community are absolutely amazing! I can’t wait to continue helping our current athletes and push our future athletes towards their goals.” -Sam Macken
All of our instructors at Strike Zone Sports are proud Minnesotans who grew up in the softball community. We will continue to give back to all of the up and coming players. Sara and Sam will continue to lead our staff as full-time instructors. Sara with pitching and Sam leading the hitting, slapping, and fielding lessons. Whitney Johnson (pitching) and Taylor LeMay (catching) round out our team of instructors.
