5High School Catching & Hitting Instructor

Ava is a class of 2023 Varsity player for New Prague High School. As an 8th grader she won rookie of the year and was a letter winner after starting every game for Tri-City United. After her Freshman year she transferred to New Prague where she was forced to sit out of Varsity softball her sophomore year as part of the transfer rule. During her Junior year she had a total of 43 at bats and hit for a .447 AVG. Ava then received another letter and the coaches award for a continuous positive attitude and for helping her teammates after she couldn’t play due to an injury.

This last season Ava played for the MN Bombers 16u National team for the 2nd year. Last year she was nominated and selected to play in the All-Star game for the class of 2023 in the IDT out in Colorado. She also was invited to participate in the Midwest Fastpitch Showcase this august.

Ava has been mentored by Owner and Lead Hitting Instructor Sam Macken for the past 3 years. She has led and assisted youth clinics and camps as well as individual instruction. Additionally, Ava is a well- rounded catching instructor who is always improving her teaching style and loves working with the youth athletes. Her focus is on fundamentals and mechanics to help develop a solid base for young hitters and catchers.

LESSON PRICING:

Individual: $55/HR, $35/half hour
