Fastpitch Instructor Michelle Harrison is originally from Southern California and grew up playing with such organizations as the Orange County Batbusters and Gordon’s Panthers. She was a left-handed, finesse pitcher who utilized ball movement and speed variation to heighten her effectiveness. She pitched for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers and won the Gophers’ program first Big-10 Championship against powerhouse Michigan in 1999 to advance to a Regional appearance at UCLA. The Gophers fell just short of a College World Series appearance. Michelle now owns and operates Strike Zone Sports on a full-time basis. She has worked with a majority of Minnesota’s standout pitchers in her tenure. She has had the opportunity to work with many All-State players, including three Minnesota Ms. Softball award winners, three Athena Award winners and one 2-time recipient of the MN Gatorade Player of the Year honor. She has helped several pitchers take their game to the collegiate level.
Michelle is also the Head Coach of the Lady Lightning Gold Midwest and Eagan High School Varsity.
