Lauren Johnson is a highly experienced strength and conditioning coach who brings over a decade of athletic training and fitness programming knowledge to Strike Zone Sports.

Lauren obtained her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Psychology from the University of St. Thomas (UST), as well as her Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from Minnesota State University, Mankato (MNSU).

Following her formal education, Lauren has dedicated her professional career to immersing herself in functional fitness training knowledge. She’s received continuing education from institutions and organizations such as the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

Throughout her career, Lauren has maintained a passion for coaching and training at all levels. From youth sports to D1 collegiate athletics, Lauren has helped an array of athletes transform their fitness, improving on their strength, agility, endurance, as well as reaction and recovery times. She accomplishes this by adapting to and understanding the specific short and long term goals of each individual in her programs.

Lauren’s coaching journey has allowed her to work with individual athletes and teams in various sports, including baseball, softball, soccer, hockey, football, mixed martial arts, track and field, figure skating, and more. Having been a former soccer player and figure skater, she understands the importance of building a foundation of functional movement that promotes both physical and cognitive adaptability, increases healthy play, and improves the overall enjoyment of the game.
