After college, Bekah was a Graduate Assistant Pitching Coach at Bethel University from 2015-2017. After Bethel University she was the pitching coach at the University of Northwestern St. Paul from 2017 – 2022. She had the honor of coaching a great pitching staff and the team made the Regional Tournament two consecutive years in 2018 & 2019.

Bekah had the privilege of coaching at Strike Zone Sports February 2024 – August 2024. She loves SZS and the pitchers that work so hard! Most recently she did mission work for a Christian non-profit in Manila, Philippines. She had the opportunity to coach the pitching staff part-time at the University of the Philippines in 2025. She was able to help teach spin for movement pitches as well as offspeed change up. She really enjoyed cross-culture coaching & learned more about the game!

Bekah Schmidt is a 4-time Minnesota High School State Champion (class 1A) and a 2015 graduate from Drake University where she had a successful career and competed against the best teams in the nation.
Bekah earned several awards during her 4 years as a Drake Bulldog. She earned the following awards her senior season (2015): Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Pitcher of the Year, MVC Conference Champions, MVC Academic All-Conference 3.7 GPA, MVC strike-out season leader (198 Ks), MVC most season wins (19), MVC all-time pitching appearances (ranked #2, 180 games), MVC all-time complete games in a season (ranked #2, 2013 – 37 games). She finished her pitching career with 644 strike-outs, 56 wins and 44 losses. Bekah faced the best-of-the-best in the game during her 4-year career: Oklahoma University 2013 National Champions (played them in 2013 – home run off Keilani Ricketts), University of Florida 2014-2015 National Champions (played them in 2013 – best game of her pitching career: 11Ks, lost 4-3 to Lauren Haeger), University of Alabama 2012 National Champions (played them in 2015), University of Arizona (played them in 2012, ’13, ’15), Arizona State 2011 National Champions (played them in 2014), Baylor University (2014 – lost 4-2), Nebraska (2014 – lost 2-1).
In addition to pitching at Drake, Bekah loved hitting and was in the line-up every season. She increased in home runs every year starting with 2 freshmen year, 3 sophomore year, 6 junior year, and 7 senior year. Her career hitting stats were:18 home-runs, 22 doubles, 85 total hits. She finished her senior year batting 4th/5th in the lineup with a .310 batting average, 571 slugging %, and 30 RBI’s.

Bekah went to New Life Academy – a private Christian High School in Woodbury, MN. She helped lead the Eagles to four consecutive Class 1A State Championships (2008-2011). She was the starting pitcher in 2010 & 2011. During her 6 State appearances, she was a 5-time all-tournament award winner. Her senior year in 2011 she earned: St. Paul Pioneer Press Softball Player of the Year, Minneapolis Star & Tribune Academic Female Athlete of the year (4.0 GPA), St. Paul Athena Award Winner. In 2011 she was also a finalist for: St. Paul Downtown Lions Club Athlete of the year & Minnesota Ms. Softball Award. Bekah was a 3-sport athlete who also played basketball (over 1,000 career points) and volleyball.
