biography
Sidney is a Division I softball athlete at University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, where she is entering her Senior season while pursuing a degree in Marketing and Communication and completing a Personal Training Certification. A dedicated student-athlete with a passion for player development, Sidney brings extensive experience both on the field and in strength training.
High School Career
Sidney was a five-year varsity softball starter at Burnsville High School from 2019–2023, where she established herself as one of the top offensive players in the area.
Her accomplishments include:
• Two-Time Team Most Valuable Offensive Player
• Three-Time All-Conference Selection (2021–2023)
• Two-Year Team Captain (2022–2023)
• All-Conference Honorable Mention (2020)
• Star Tribune Metro Player of the Week (2023)
• Star Tribune All-Metro Third Team (2023)
• Academic All-State Honoree
In addition to softball, Sidney competed in Olympic weightlifting during her junior and senior years of high school. Specializing in the Snatch and Clean & Jerk, she served as Team Captain in 2023 and was a two-time state qualifier in the 81 kg weight class. Sidney finished as the state runner-up in both 2022 and 2023, further demonstrating her work ethic, discipline, and commitment to athletic excellence.
Club Softball Experience
Sidney spent six years (14U–18U) playing and training with the Minnesota Force organization. One of the highlights of her club career came at the 2022 Perfect Game 18U A Fall Showcase in Kansas City, Missouri, where she helped lead her team to a runner-up finish. During the tournament, Sidney hit six home runs and played a major role in the team’s success.
Collegiate Career
2026 (Junior Season)
• Sidney earned her first Player of the Week recognition on April 6, 2026, while putting together a breakout season.
• Tied the single-season RBI record at Green Bay (43 RBIs)
• Posted a career-high .355 batting average
• Led the team in multiple power categories, including 11 home runs, a .748 slugging percentage, and a 1.172 OPS
• Earned All-Conference Second Team honors
• Was named to the Horizon League All-Tournament Team
• Received Horizon League Softball All-Academic honors
• Earned the Female Iron Phoenix Strength & Conditioning Award
2025 (Sophomore Season)
• Sidney started a career-high 34 games in 42 appearances, recording 2 home runs and 17 RBIs while batting .232. She added six doubles, scored 10 runs, and finished with a .358 slugging percentage, .308 on-base percentage, and .679 OPS.
2024 (Freshman Season)
• Sidney was named an NFCA/Easton All-American Scholar Athlete and appeared in 30 games, making 19 starts during her freshman campaign.
Sidney has been involved in the game of softball for more than 15 years, and her passion for helping athletes develop continues to grow. She has trained under Sam for the past five years and has assisted with youth clinics at Strike Zone Sports for the last two years. Her passion for the offensive side of the game—particularly hitting—is unmatched.
In addition to softball instruction, Sidney has a strong passion for strength training and empowering young female athletes. She believes in helping athletes build confidence, resilience, and self-belief both on and off the field. Sidney is excited to work with youth athletes in the community, helping them grow their skills, confidence, and love for the game while inspiring the next generation of softball players.
