Strike Zone Sports is excited to announce the opening of our first satellite location in Hugo, MN. The Strike Zone Sports original facility will remain in Eagan, MN. Our Eagan facility, which was established in the fall of 2014, is home to hundreds of softball players and their families. Strike Zone Sports Is proud to have helped almost 100 athletes achieve their dreams of playing college softball.  We are excited to bring our instruction/training north! 

The Hugo satellite location will offer private pitching, hitting, fielding, catching, and throwing lessons. All appointments can be accessed through our website, as well as on our MindBody app/site (just search Strike Zone Sports – Hugo). 

Leading the Hugo instructor team will be Allison Benning, Jordyn Meyer, and Avery Mueller. 

Allison Benning is from Stillwater, MN and has been working at Strike Zone Sports for the past four years. She was a Strike Zone Sports athlete since the age of ten. Allison just graduated and completed her college softball career at The University of North Florida. During her senior campaign, Allison led the Osprey’s to their first post-season Regional Tournament and garnered just about every award one can earn in a single season as a two-way player.  If you think we are kidding, read her bio, it’s quite impressive! Allison will be giving pitching, hitting, fielding, and throwing lessons full-time in Hugo! 

 Jordyn Meyer is from White Bear Lake, MN and just completed her sophomore season at The University of North Florida. Jordyn has been training at SZS for the past 3 years and has worked SZS camps and clinics for the past 2 years. Jordyn is an unbelievable athlete, student, and teammate who does an incredible job leading our young athletes. Jordyn will be giving catching, hitting, and throwing lessons at our new location! 

Avery Muellner is from Forest Lake, MN and has been taking lessons at Strike Zone Sports since she was nine years old. Avery just wrapped up her junior year at Forest Lake High School. Avery has been a starting varsity pitcher for the Forest Lake Rangers since 7th grade. She has been a State Tournament attendee for the last 5 years in a row. Avery will continue her softball career and play college ball at The University of St. Thomas in the fall of 2026. Avery will be giving pitching lessons in Hugo!
