Maddie Damon
Maddie Damon, was a 4-year letter winner, appearing in the circle for the Purdue University Boilermakers from 2016-2019. Damon helped the Boilermakers get to the Big Ten Softball Tournament for four consecutive years.
As a freshman, she pitched in 18 games and had nine starts with one complete shut out. During her 2017 season, she made 35 appearances with 21 starts, striking out 59 batters while blanking her opponents on seven occasions. In 2019 she had 48 strikeouts in 56 innings and went to the National Invitational Softball Championship. Damon also helped out with her bat and had two game-winning hits. She loved helping her team in any way possible, so when she wasn’t pitching, she practiced in the outfield and pinch ran.

She holds Minnesota State records for career strikeouts (1,642), perfect games (9), and victories (117). She also recorded 66 career shutouts and 20 no-hitters. She led her team to back-to-back State Championships in 2014 (undefeated season), 2015, and 2013 State runner-up. Her list of High School Softball achievements also includes being named a 5 time, Minnesota High School AA All-State First Team member, 5 time Minnesota High school AA All-Section Team member, 3 time AA State All-Tournament Team member, 4-time All-Hiawatha Valley League, and she was named the 2015 SE Minnesota Female Athlete of the Year.
